It's Date Night - A Celebration of Love! Some ask, "What's Love Got to Do With It?" We say, "Love has EVERYTHING to do with it." Join the Men's and Women's ministries of Love United Christian Church as we celebrate love. Join us for lively discussions about love, marriage and relationships. There will be some fun games to play and prizes to win too!! Couples and Singles are welcome!!! ***This is an in-person event. Masks required when not eating.*** Space is Limited!! See You There! Time/Place: All American Steakhouse - 7PM * 1502 Annapolis Road - Odenton, MD 21113 Date Night is being hosted this year by our very own Deacons Emmanuel and Kenda Smith! The Women of Influence and Men of Passion ministries are combining to celebrate love the way God our Father intended. Deacon Emmanuel Smith is the leader of the Men's Ministry of Love United Christian Church and is the host of a weekly Podcast, "Man Up." He is married to Deaconess Kenda Smith with two daughters, Arie-Yana and Imani Smith. Deacon Smith currently holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling from Loyola University and works in the Anne Arundel County Public School System as a Behavior Interventionist. Deacon Smith is passionate about the Word of God and encourages others to serve the Lord and walk in Faith and Victory through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Deaconess Kenda Smith is the Leader of Love United Christian Church's Task Force commissioned to reaching out to the local community by providing food and other resources to those in need. Deaconess Smith holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Bowie State University and currently works for the Y of Central Maryland Head Start Program. Deaconess Smith's passion for loving and helping others is a cornerstone in her life's work and believes with God's help all things are possible. Minister Sheronda Bowie will be Co-Hosting this year's Date Night event! Min. Bowie currently leads the Women of Influence ministry at Love United Christian Church. She is also Minister of Music, singer and songwriter. Minister Bowie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Bowie State University and currently works in the the Internet Technology Industry in Operations Support. She is passionate about seeing women reach their highest potential in Christ and encouraging others to see/understand God in real practical ways in order to succeed! Rev. Fields was born in Annapolis, Maryland She is the daughter of the Late Rev. Gregory Johnson and Mrs. Belinda Johnson. She is the wife of Deacon Jeffrey Fields. They share in the joy of raising their daughter Nasya Jessica Fields. She also enjoys a close and loving relationship with her step-daughter La-Toya Brown and step-grandson Khalii Brown-Smith. She accepted the Lord Jesus at the age of 12. Shortly thereafter, she began to realize the talents of poetry and song writing. She was invited to multiple lay speaking engagements in her younger years. She has a love for people. This inspired the beginning of a Christian Youth Group out of her parents’ home for many years. She was also a dedicated member of Elkridge Christian Church where she served faithfully from 1982 until July 2001. In 1993, she answered the call to become a registered nurse. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of Maryland School of Nursing via Army ROTC Scholarship. She graduated with both a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and an Active Reserve Commission in the United States Army. She served in the Army Nurse Corps for 4.5yrs. She is now a Registered Nurse with 28 years of clinical experience. Currently she is continuing her call in nursing ministry as the owner of Good Neighbor Health Services where she serves the assisted living community. She answered the call to Christian ministry in 1999 and received her minister’s license at Elkridge Christian Community Church. In 2001, she joined Love United Christian Church and was ordained elder in 2008 and subsequently served as Assistant Pastor from 2010 to 2014 under the leadership of the Late Rev.Gregory Johnson. During that time, she obtained a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from Family Bible Institute and Seminary. When the Lord called Rev. Gregory Johnson home, she was installed as the Pastor of Love United Christian Church. Pastor Fields now has the privilege of serving the community as an entrepreneur, a nurse, and Pastor of Love United Christian Church since Oct 2014. To God be the glory for all He has done!
