Description

**Pending, I have homes I am screening and I will remove the post when she is fully rehomed. But I am not currently meeting anyone else right now, so please email me your name and number if you are interested and I will reach out if she is still available. Thanks.** This is a hard choice for me and my family, but we need to rehome our 4 year old dog. She is a mix breed, about 50lbs, short fur (lab like coat). I am adopting her for free, she will come with leash, collar, beds, crate (if you need it), toys, food, treats. I know people say their dog is the best dog, this dog really is the best dog. She needs to be rehomed due to one of the other animals living in the house that has been having ongoing and escalating behavioral problems since we have adopted her. This really has nothing to do with the dog having problems. We have given our cat over a year to adjust, but ever since bringing her home our cat has been escalating from just being generally unhappy (hissing, puffing and clawing) to full on aggressive attacking the dog and now marking anywhere he perceives as the dog’s spots/things, including shredding up her bed and peeing on it and also taking to peeing on her spot on the sofa after we started to allow her to lay on this one spot covered with a sheet on the sofa. Our cat has lived with dogs and admittedly he didn’t love them, but we didn’t expect or experience quite the level of issues seen. More recently, he has been attacking her to the point of there being contact fighting resulting in injuries. Our cat probably isn’t a very rehomable cat, he is older than her and we have had him since he was a kitten and now he has marking issues. So we have chosen to rehome our highly rehomable dog that should not struggle to find and fit in to a new home. She is: -Spayed -100% housebroken, has never once had an accident. -Doesn’t bark or make a lot of noise, a pretty quiet dog. -Very friendly, great with children, not aggressive, not even food aggressive. She also gets along with the cat and other dogs fine. -Obedient, well behaved and very chill. Normally I wouldn’t say a larger, young dog could be happy in a studio apartment if that’s all you had to offer her. But she is not a high energy dog. She will “happy spaz” with excitement when people come home or new people are around, but that involves but wiggling and some paw prancing. Otherwise, she is happy to be active if she is along for a hike or whatever, but otherwise at home she happily rests on her bed and isn’t a very high energy dog. She has never jumped up on people, she doesn’t steal food or beg, she doesn’t chew or destroy anything. -Up to date on all flea med and vaccines. -No health issues. -Will make a very loving, loyal, well behaved friend. Please message me if you are interested. I am not in a rush to rehome her, I just want the right home for her. We planned to be her permanent, loving home. We can’t be that, but I would like that for her in her next home. Serious inquiries only please, thanks.
