Learn how to clean headstones correctly at Elmwood. The headstones and markers at Elmwood Cemetery are beautiful and delicate. We invite you to join us for this special Stone Cleaners Orientation & Demonstration to learn the proper techniques for gently and carefully cleaning the stonework in the cemetery. The Stone Cleaners of Elmwood Cemetery are a properly trained, very small group of dedicated volunteers. Led by volunteer Sheena Barnett, who has cleaned over 300 stones at Elmwood herself, this class is required before joining the Stone Cleaners Group. Space in the class is exceptionally limited to 8 individuals. You must be able to sit on the ground, kneel, carry equipment, take direction, and work at your own independent pace. There is no cost to join. Only one class is required, but you may choose from two dates in June. If you love Elmwood Cemetery and have a passion for cleaning, then this might be for you.
