Description

Come battle invasive plants with our Land Conservation team! Join us to wrangle some weeds! Byron Brooks, our Invasive Species Specialist, will be hosting small groups to teach you how to manage invasive plants and what the best methods are. For this event, we will be using weed wrenches to properly remove some of the non-native species encroaching our landscape. We have limited our group sizes to 10 people, so reserve your spot by signing up below today! We will meet at the main Welcome Center parking area at 9:00 am to kick-off the fun. Please come prepared for outdoor work with close toed shoes, long sleeves and pants, a hat, water, sunscreen and anything else you might need to stay comfortable for a morning of work outdoors. We are excited to welcome you and show you the ropes. The Weed Wrangles are always a lot of fun! Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center is a 501(c)(3) environmental learning hub that reconnects Chattanoogans with nature. Filling an important need for outdoor experience in our technology-driven world, we envision a healthier, more creative city whose residents become stewards of their natural surroundings. Please consider supporting our conservation efforts through a tax-deductible donation or membership. For more information, attend one of our educational programs or visit reflectionriding.org.
