PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A man is in critical condition after being mowed down in a Park Slope hit-and-run, police said.
On Thursday at about 8:51 p.m., the 44-year-old was crossing Fourth Avenue at Bergen Street when he was hit by the driver behind the wheel of a sedan, according to the NYPD.
First responders, who found the man lying in the street with head injuries, took him to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of Friday, police said.
The driver, however, took off after hitting the pedestrian, according to the NYPD.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing, police said on Friday.
News of this accident comes after a weekend of fatal car accidents in New York City, where drivers killed four people, including a Holocaust survivor, a teenage girl and a Brooklyn mom.
