Press release from the City of Long Beach: February 10, 2022 Governor Hochul has announced that, effective February 10, the state's mandate on mask wearing at indoor public spaces will be lifted, though it will remain optional for businesses, local governments, and counties. She will be making a determination on masks in schools in early March. Masks will still be required in hospitals, nursing homes, shelters, transportation, and other related entities. Masks will be encouraged in all City of Long Beach facilities, but not required. Masks are currently still required for the court on the second floor of City Hall.
