Kennesaw State Gives All Clear After Intruder Arrested On Campus

KENNESAW, GA — There is no longer an armed threat at Kennesaw State University, officials said shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday. Earlier the campus was under a shelter-in-place order. KSU Emergency Management tweeted at 2:45 p.m.: "All Clear. Suspect has been apprehended and there is no threat to either KSU campus. Please resume normal operations." An "armed intruder" was on campus, the agency said just before 3 p.m. on Twitter. The armed person was seen near the Machinist Lodge around 2:40 p.m., authorities said. The type of weapon the person had was not mentioned. "Seek shelter in a secure location until further notice," Emergency Management said at 3:10 p.m.
