COVENTRY, RI — Winter weather may still be upon us, but Coventry Parks and Recreation is looking forward to summer. The department is looking to hire camp counselors aged 16 and older for this year's summer camp program. The department will hold a job fair at the Coventry Community Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Anyone unable to attend the fair can download an application from the town's website. The following openings are available: Camp counselors Ages 16 and olderSupervise groups of children in age-appropriate activities and field tripsLead counselors Ages 18 and olderSupervise groups of children and offer support to counselors, assist in planning activities and communicate with parents and coordinatorsCoordinators Ages 21 and olderSupervise camp staff, assist in planning activities, communicate with counselors and parentsSpecialty counselors Ages 18 and olderPlan and implement age-appropriate activities for arts and craft, theater arts, S.T.E.A.M. and athletics For more information about openings, email [email protected] or call 401-822-9107 during business hours.
