Description

PITTSBURGH, PA — The University of Pittsburgh is terminating nine employees who didn't comply with Pitt's vaccine mandate. The university ordered the move in November and required workers to provide vaccination proof or an approved exemption by Dec. 6. The firings were reported in the University Times, a Pitt publication. Pitt last month began dis-enrolling students who had not complied with the mandate. By the end of the month, there were 32 non-compliant students, according to Chancellor Patrick Gallagher. Overall, 96 percent of Pitt's students, faculty and staff had received original vaccinations, the Times reported.
