QUAKERTOWN, PA — A Bucks County TV host, builder, and designer will sell his custom-made furniture and antique finds at an all-day sale Saturday. Jay Chaikin, who opened his showroom Reclaimed Relics in Pipersville in 2020, is known for reclaiming and refurbishing historic finds to "transform any ordinary space into an extraordinary environment." He built that reputation as a TV personality, hosting Animal Planet's "Restoration Wild" — which follows him and his crew of builders and designers as they repurpose old structures and relics left abandoned in the landscape —and exploring old sites across America to find pieces of history on the National Geographic Channel's show "Abandoned." Beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, attendees to Chaikin's reclaimed and refurbished antique fair will have the chance to talk personally with the man himself and browse through an extensive selection of pieces. He plans to clear his stock of custom-designed furniture and historical finds to make room for new creative projects. Those interested can browse until sunset, checking out an inventory of collected vintage cars, bikes, antiques, and art pieces while enjoying the Van Pelt Hot Dog Company food truck parked on the premises. "Jay will be sharing the granular history of every acquisition for all visitors," a representative said in a news release. He also makes farm tables himself which can be custom-ordered, made of reclaimed wood and vintage materials. The tables come with parchment descriptions of their origins. Chaikin will be hosting the sale form 8 a.m. to sunset at 482 Trumbauersville Rd in Quakertown. Be the first to know what's happening in your local area. Subscribe to Patch.
