Press release from the Clackamas County Government: 2/10/2022 Clackamas County's Public Health Division today announced nine awardees of nearly $600,000 in total to address community-identified priorities included in the Blueprint for a Healthy Clackamas Initiative. The Blueprint Community Grants support community-led, health-based programs that advance health equity for priority populations, fill a service gap and address health disparities in Clackamas County. "Throughout the pandemic, we know families have faced unprecedented challenges and that many existing health disparities have only been amplified," said Philip Mason-Joyner, Clackamas County Public Health Director. "Thanks to the Blueprint Initiative and close collaboration with local and culturally-specific service organizations, we are able to expand access to services that meaningfully improve the quality of life and health outcomes of our community." "The Blueprint grant truly demonstrates the alignment of values between CSC and CCPHD," said Debra Mason, Executive Director of the Clackamas Service Center. "We are thrilled to be increasing our ability to serve those most affected by systems of oppression with culturally specific foods, food that increase both dignity and health." Blueprint for a Healthy Clackamas County is the county's Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). The Blueprint Initiative works to connect public health resources with community partners providing direct services and outreach to diverse communities to improve priority health outcomes.
