Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today: The Phoenix police department has reported a dead suspect, a woman shot to death, and nine officers still in recovery after an early morning standoff turned shooting at a south Phoenix home on Friday. The critical incident unfolded in the area of 54th Avenue between Lower Buckeye and Broadway roads shortly after 2:00 a.m. The infant caught in the crossfire is not hurt. Detectives are still working to determine the cause of the shooting and connections between the shooter, victim, and other occupants. (Arizona's Family)Nearly two decades of baptisms performed by Rev. Andres Arango of St. Gregory parish were declared invalid by the Catholic Church, leading the Phoenix priest to resign. St. Gregory is working to schedule baptisms for the affected families. (Phoenix Patch) Volunteer Nonprofit Service Association's used book sale is returning to Phoenix this weekend.
