TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department has identified a Tuscaloosa man killed in a motorcycle accident on University Boulevard Thursday evening that was initially called in as a hit-and-run. James Darrin Spencer, 56, died from injuries sustained in the accident that occurred just after 8 p.m. in the area west of the intersection of University Boulevard and 17th Avenue, TPD announced Friday morning. The department's Accident Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
