Open position for a new Crew Member for Beaver Town Movers LLC. We are a Load/Unload Moving Labor Service based in Corvallis that works in the Corvallis/Albany area. We load/unload trucks and move furniture in people's homes, apartments and storage units. Physical strength and stamina are required for this type of work. You will be required to lift large and heavy items and endure work days that can be 2-7 hours long. We do small and large jobs, and can lift anything from small boxes to large appliances. Attention to detail and integrity are critical to carefully move people's furniture without damages. Training on proper lifting and loading techniques will be reinforced on-site. Professionalism and customer interaction skills are required to work in people's homes and handle their belongings. You must look clean and presentable and be able to politely speak to the customer. DEPENDABILITY IS KEY, late notice absences will not be tolerated. Great for college students looking to make more money in fewer hours. Needed Availability: Approx. 10 hours per week starting ASAP and increasing each month. We typically have work available every day of the week. Compensation: $20/hr Starting $22/hr after 3 months $24/hr after 6 months $33/hr Crew Leader All hours rounded up +Tips Requirements: -Utmost reliability and dependability -Strong, physically capable, can handle rigorous and strenuous work for extended periods of time -A clean and professional appearance -A positive, hard-working attitude -Pride in work -Willing to learn moving skills -Polite and positive customer interaction skills Preferences include previous moving experience, drivers license, clean record, high fitness with positive mindsets and enthusiasm to do great work. Preferences also include individuals who aspire to become Crew Leader or work through Summer 2022. We are looking to hire a Crew Member that can be trained as a Crew Leader. Crew Leaders will be responsible for interacting with the customer and properly loading and unloading the truck. Training would occur over the course of the spring. There is a lot of work and money in this business. It is helpful to think of this work as a fun way to workout and get paid, rather then a grind.
