Metal guitar player looking for the right project

Hi, I'm Mike. I'm a 35 year old metal guitarist (6, 7 & 8 string) but I can also play bass and do vocals though I wouldn't say I'm good at either. I've been roadieing and playing in bands since I was 16. I've been on a long hiatus from the music scene and I think it's time I dip my toes back in the water. Interested in joining or starting a project to write and perform locally for fun. If you're a "serious" musician who's trying to "make it", I'm not the dude for you. My job and my family is always going to come first. I'd be open to doing covers but I'd prefer to focus on original material. I have a pretty eclectic musical taste but I cut my teeth learning lamb of god, slipknot and dimmu songs. Hit me up if you want to jam, I'm pretty much up for anything. Even if you don't think I'd be a good fit, shoot me a link. I'd love to check out some new local bands
