Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA), is Carrboro-Chapel Hill’s not-for-profit public service agency, delivering high-quality water, wastewater, and reclaimed water services.
We are seeking highly motivated candidates to fill two Part-time Temporary Lake Assistant positions to assist with the daily operations of University Lake and Cane Creek Reservoir. Assignment is from late March through early November, working up to 29 hours per week with weekend work required.
Duties include operating mowers and other landscaping equipment. Renting recreation equipment to lake patrons; enforcing lake rules; evaluating customers private boats and motors; housekeeping of building and other areas as needed; and instructing public in the safe use of equipment.
Position requires exerting 10-25 pounds frequently and 50-100 pounds occasionally; High School Diploma or equivalent and a Valid NC Driver’s License. Candidates must be 18 years old.
