Long-Serving Teacher/Mom/Nanny to Offer Specialized Infant Care

I have about 30 years experience working with children - 5 as a Daycare Worker/Nanny for babies, 20 as a Mom of three (now teens and pre-teens), and 25 as an Early Childhood/Lower Elementary School Teacher with a Master's Degree. I'm still too young to retire by about a decade, but I'm looking for a change from teaching. So I've been babysitting for two families (a 2-month-old and a 3-month-old) and have realized how much I've missed spending time with babies. So in August (possibly sooner) I will be opening my own home to care for two, no more than three, infants ages newborn-12 months. This will be from Monday-Friday 7am-6pm, and occasionally at other times on an as-needed, case-by-case basis. If there are more than three applicants, those interested in full-time care will take precedence. I will be asking $20/hour/infant because I am highly qualified, I have the specialized experience/environment needed to care for infants, and I will be providing particularly attentive/socially-interactive/nearly one-on-one care, as is best suited for youngest infants. In my home, your baby would receive just the gentlest introduction to socialization with other babies, without the safety/health/developmental risks of too many other children spreading germs and vying for the caretaker's attention. • I will fully equip my home to be as safe, comforting, mentally stimulating, & developmentally appropriate as possible. Photos will be available. • I also have a reliable, safety-feature-rich vehicle and a clean, multi-decades-long driving record (pickup/dropoff at your home may be negotiable). • My whole family and I are COVID-vaccinated with boosters, and most of the day my family will be out of the house • I will be Whooping Cough-boostered • I am Infant-CPR-Certified • I have passed numerous Background Checks Proof of all this can be provided, as well as references.
