Plott Hound needs a good home

hi we’re looking for a home for this guy. he is very sweet & great with people & other dogs. i think he’s about 5. he’s a big plott hound mix, we think probably with great dane. we took him in because bit his owner and was about to be put down. it was the first time he’s ever done it and the owners had him since he was a puppy so we really didn’t want to see him put down when he could find a home with someone that can work on his issues. he is great around people & dogs EXCEPT when he gets “people food”. he guards, snarls & barks when he gets ahold of any. he is a big dog so its hard to try and grab it. afterwards he is very embarrassed & is back to his sweet self. he’s fine with dog food though! he knows sit, paw, and goes right into his crate when you ask. he spends most of his time just lounging but loves walks. he is so good on the leash! we’ve already contacted multiple rescues & put in surrender applications, but haven’t been contacted yet. if you or anyone you know is interested or has any connections with a rescue, please let me know!! we love him, but we cannot have a dog this big because of our lease so we need to find him a place ASAP bc he cannot stay here. cincy/nky area but willing to drive a bit for a good home
