Seeking volunteers for post-surgical pain research study!

Have you had surgery within the last 2 years or are you scheduled for surgery? Are you at least 12 years old? or Are you at least 12 years old and healthy? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a study investigating why some people develop pain after surgery. The study includes: 1. Attending 1-2 study visits at Boston Children’s Hospital. 2. Each participant will undergo non-invasive, non-radiation brain scans estimated to take approximately 1 hour. 3. Each participant will also complete questionnaires about your stress, your emotions, and your experiences with pain and pain sensitivity. You will also provide a hair sample and undergo sensory tests on your skin. These measures will take approximately 1.5 hours total. You will be compensated up to $400 for completion of the study visit! We also provide taxi service ($50 each way) or free parking.
