Description

Landscape Maintenance Technician needed for Kauai South Shore Condominium Association. Property site is ocean front and is composed of 77 units. Residents include both vacation rental guests, residents and Full/Part-time Owner occupants General Description: Responsibilities will include all general landscape and gardening maintenance duties and may include some custodial, or building maintenance, or other duties as assigned by management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following: • Mowing, edging, weed eating, blowing, planting, weeding, pruning, chemical application, and irrigation repair • Assure all work assigned is completed in a timely manner and according to established processes • Recognize and report possible safety hazards. Recommend and implement corrective actions • Interact with outside vendors and contractors when directed • Support Association House Rules. Report infractions to the Site Managers • Respond to emergency situations to the extent necessary to protect property common elements. • Organize work and storage areas and maintain inventory of supplies • All other tasks as assigned by Site Managers Qualifications: • General knowledge of standard landscape practices • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and other applicable laws and regulations. • Good safety habits to include the safe operation of all tools and other equipment • Solid work ethic including the ability to work independently, take initiative, multi-task, and adapt flexibly to changing priorities and focus. • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personalities in a collaborative team environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Respectful, positive attitude. Trustworthy and dependable • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job to include: lifting, bending, standing and walking either intermittently, or for longer periods during the course of the work day. • Applicant must be able to pass drug screening, background screening and have a good driving record.
