Duties include but are not limited to the following: Gather and empty trash. Move trash from bins into compactor. Clean windows, glass partitions using soapy water with sponges and squeegees. Able to mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Clean and polish floors. Removal of snow using shovels and snow blowers. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies to compactor rooms. Clean equipment, or metal instruments using solvents, brushes, rags or power cleaning equipment. Able to maintain supplies inventory as needed. Needs to follow building policies. Notify managers concerning the need of any major repairs. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Begin work as early as 7am. Skills: Bilingual a PLUS (English and Spanish) Knowledge of city rules and regulations on garbage and recyclables. Must have attention to detail. Able to follow building safety guidelines according to OSHA regulations. Must have cleaning experience. Must be very organized. Able to use Power cleaning equipment. Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds.
