Help distribute food pantry items to New Yorkers in need! The United Jewish Council of the East Side (UJCES) supports the Lower East Side and wider NYC community with human services and community development programs. While the majority of services are oriented to older adults, UJCES also has programs for families and children. UJCES volunteers are essential to our mission as we serve New Yorkers. DETAILS: We are looking for groups of up to 4 volunteers to help pack and hand out food pantry orders to families in need. Instructions are provided on site. Tasks include bending and lifting. You must be 14+ years old to volunteer, and groups of volunteers 14-17 years old must be accompanied by parent(s) or guardian(s). You can join compassionate people in supplying nutritious food to the New York City community. DAYS & TIMES: We are looking for volunteers who are available on Tuesday, February 15 and/or Wednesday, February 16, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (adjusted time frames will be considered). HOW TO SIGN UP: We are looking for a volunteer group from a corporate, student, or similar organization (group of 4 maximum). Please contact us as soon as possible to express interest.
