This fundraising event features live music and a clothing and shoe drive to benefit the youth affected by the recent Tsunami in Tonga.
Current University of Oregon Sports Product Mangement student Marcus Alipate has created this fundraiser to benefit his home community of Tonga!
Recently, the Kingdom of Tonga was hit with a volcano eruption causing a tsunami that impacted over 84,000 people. Families lost homes, communication lines were destroyed, and the islands were left in complete ash.
To give back to the island of Tonga and those affected by the Tsunami, Smoove-Marcus Alipate's new luxury streetwear brand is hosting a Tonga Relief Event in partnership with the Tonga National Basketball Team, the University of Oregon Sports Product Management, and Morrison Market.
The event will take place on February 17th from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Morrison Market in Portland, Oregon.
Our goal is to help the youth impacted by the event. To do this we are looking for clothing and shoe donations for youth ages 5-18 years old. Please bring a donation item(s) for entry to the event.
SMOOVE will be having a brand exhibit showcasing our new collection and collab items with the local Portland brand, Pluto, where part of proceeds from our sales will go towards helping those who were impacted in Tonga. Join us for be musical performances from The Gard3n, and more.
We cordially invite you to come out and support those who have been impacted by the tragic recent events.
