You’re invited to a private tour of United Way’s NEW Family Center in Columbia This center—our third—will provide affordable, accessible, licensed childcare for parents who live and/or work in Howard County; enriching early childhood education; and an array of supportive resources. Co-created by local partners and area residents, the Family Center in Columbia will focus on multi-generational support that encourages social, economic, and educational advancement. Parents with children enrolled in the center won’t have to choose between working or furthering their education because they can’t find childcare they can afford or that is located near where they live or work. This center also benefits local businesses by reducing parent absenteeism and augments their employee recruitment and retention efforts. Collectively, we’re breaking down barriers to family and community success. UNITED, we’re helping to build stronger families—the catalyst for creating stronger neighborhoods and improving the local economy. Tours of the center, located at 7115 Columbia Gateway Drive in Columbia, are limited to eight guests and are available on the following dates: Monday, February 28 • 1:00-1:45 PM Monday, March 7 • 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, March 9 • 9:00-9:45 AM Masks are required.
