Who doesn't LOVE Donuts and Beer?! Come get "FAT" with us this Fat Tuesday! Channel your inner Homer Simpson, wear some stretchy pants and Who doesn't LOVE Donuts and Beer?!  Come get "FAT" with us this Fat Tuesday!  Channel your inner Homer Simpson, wear some stretchy pants and join us in historic downtown Middletown for our FAT TUESDAY DONUT & BEER WALK!  After checking in at the beautiful Windamere, you will walk to different shops, eateries and establishments to get 8 different donuts, lovingly prepared from our famous Middletown locations of the Butler County Donut Trail!  Each "Donut Stop" will have a specially selected beer pairing available for purchase (not included in ticket price, sold separately at each location). Donut in one hand......paired beer in another.......does it get any better?!  (The Downtown Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) will be in effect, allowing you to sip and stroll between stops!  Even better news?  A DORA wristband, which allows you to do so, will be included in your ticket price!) As an added bonus, there will be a "Donut Scavenger Hunt". Find the hidden "donuts" in Downtown businesses and redeem your passport back at the Windamere before you leave for a FREE souvenir and be entered to win a FAT Tuesday Raffle basket.   We can't promise you will burn more calories than you consume, but it will be a fun-filled night for donut & beer lovers! How it Works: Check-In will begin at 6 p.m. at The Windamere, located at 2 S. Main Street in downtown Middletown. It is here that you will trade your ticket for your donut tasting map (and of course, a coveted DONUT NECKLACE & Mardi Gras fun!).  Donut tastings (and beer pairings) will be located inside various local businesses & buildings throughout downtown Middletown.  Beer pairings will be paid directly at the stop ($2 each) or full glasses will be available for purchase as well. There is a bit of walking involved, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes, but have no fear- this is a donut & beer event, not a fitness event! The hours of the event are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m and you may check-in at the Windamere anytime during this time. Tickets: Tickets are $15 and include 8 locally made donuts, a DORA wristband which allows  you to drink outside between stops within the DORA area (if over 21 years), & souvenir if you complete your passport! FAQs: Is there a minimum age requirements for the event? This event is a donut and beer pairing event- and since it is Mardi Gras, it will be adult focused.  Not into beer?  No problem- just buy a ticket which gets you all of the donut stops- as well as the bonus freebies if you complete your passport!  Please bring valid ID with you. What are my transportation/parking options? There are multiple free parking lots in and around downtown Middletown. Event check in is at the Windamere (2. South Main Street). When you complete the walk and scavenger hunt, you will return to the Windamere to exchange your completed passport for your gift to take home. Is this event rain, snow, or shine? Donuts & wine taste delicious in any weather so the walk will go on rain, snow or sun! What beers will be offered? We have specifically paired donuts with unique, craft beers that you likely don't have the opportunity to taste every day.  Watch the facebook event page for more details as the event gets closer! Check in is at the beautiful Windamere, 2 South Main Street.  This is also where you will END to get your souvenir with your completed passport.  There will be stops spanning our downtown, with the farthest points being Rolling Mill Brewing Co. on First to White Dog Distilling Co. on Central and all other stops in between!
