The first ever IRL meetup for the Wgmi Community!!! - A DAO focused on educating up and coming community professionals & leaders in web3 Wgmi is on a mission to bring more Community professionals to web3. This community DAO was built for educating up-and-coming community professionals and leaders in the web3 space. In order to meet this talent gap in the current state in this space, our aim is to open source resources such as standards, strategies and tools that will support this future workforce, design bootcamps and workshops that help grow the talent pool of the space overall and over time, and be the leading service DAO for Community development in web3. **Ok, so what’s going on at ETH Denver?** This is our first ever IRL Meetup! We’re hoping to bring together all of our friends who are Community Managers, Dev Rel, Community Leads in the web3 space—and those looking to enter the ecosystem via some sort of Community Development role. This is a safe space for Wgmi friends and members to chat about all things Community and get to know one another! **We have things to celebrate!** Our team will be pitching at [Metapod](http://metapod.gg/) for a chance to join their accelerator program and receive some grant funding. We already made it into the top 10 from our last pitch—now it’s time to bring it home. Regardless the outcome, we’re getting a lot of visibility in the Ethereum ecosystem and making huge progress in the DAO space. Come celebrate with us and our contributors all that we have achieved together! **What to expect in terms of location and experience?** Our first ever IRL meetup is going to take place at Hydra - ETH Denver's Official Opening Party: A Dragon has landed in Denver... Plated with planar magnetic scales, the mythical beast HYDRA has arrived to wreak havoc in a 44,000 sq. ft air hangar within the city limits. A world class, NFT-integrated sound system experience presented by Charged Particles and Dragonfire Acoustics - the only way to kick off your ETH Denver weekend. Join us all day for talk, panels (Matt Wright, one of our community members is one of the panelists), and live art before the HYDRA awakens and lights its fire long into the night. 3500+ of the best and brightest minds in Web 3.0 gather for a day of insightful panels from leaders in the space followed by a night of world-class live performances and art installations. Above, you will notice a blimp circling the event for hours, and airdropping tokens/resources to the crowd, and you wonder what strange gifts might be found inside… Situated in the massive Wings Over The Rockies Air and Aviation Museum, HYDRA will find itself surrounded by historic military jets, our last line of defence as the flames grow higher. **HOW TO ATTEND THE HYDRA EVENT** COVID REQUIREMENTS: - Our meetup is going to be inclusive in the Hydra Event, in order to attend our meetup you must have an ETH Denver wristband ⁃ You must have a negative covid test within 48 hours of entering the venue. These will be provided by ETH Denver at the main venues. ⁃ Please wear a mask while not eating/drinking at the event TRANSPORTATION:‍ Address: Wings Over The Rockies, 7711 E Academy Blvd, Denver, CO 80230 ⁃ Free Parking is available on site ⁃ Buses available for ETH Denver VIP band holders from the Sports Castle will run 7pm - 2am ⁃ Please plan for your trip home. We highly recommend booking a taxi home ahead of time to avoid waiting a long time at 2am.
