One day camp for high school track & field athletes and coaches. ABOUT THE ARMORY INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CAMPOVERVIEW The 2022 Armory Indoor Track and Field Camp is now available! We are back for our annual Spring camp to help high school track & field athletes fine tune their skills for the outdoor season. This camp will feature some of the best coaching minds in the sport and some of the finest American athletes in track & field. The event will take place at the historic Armory in New York City, located at 216 Fort Washington Ave. in Washington Heights -- home to one of the finest indoor track & field facilities in the world. The structure of the event will feature a morning and afternoon session. This will allow all student-athletes the opportunity to register for more than one event or attend for just a half day. PRICING:Early Bird Registration Pricing (1/10 - 2/13/2022) $85 per session (morning and/or afternoon): includes one session of instruction and a camp shirt. Regular Registration Pricing (2/14- 3/10/2022) $110 per session (morning and/or afternoon): includes one session of instruction and a camp shirt. Late Registration Pricing (3/11- 3/26/2022) $135 per session (morning and/or afternoon): includes one session of instruction and a camp shirt. Coaches Pass $50 for whole day: includes full day of instruction, a camp shirt, and access to digital instructional information provided by camp coaches. *In order to be a part of both sessions (morning and afternoon) or to be involved in more than one event group, each student-athlete must register for both sessions. She is a Millrose Games Wanamaker Mile champion, U.S. Indoor 1500m champion, and World Junior 3000m champion. Cain recently founded Atalanta, a NYC-based nonprofit that provides youth mentoring services and employs female professional runners full-time. MARQUIS DENDY Dendy is a legend of the Long Jump! He has been named to 2 U.S. Olympic teams and is a 2x World Championship medalist in the event (gold in 2016, bronze in 2018). Originally from Wilmington, DE, he became the first student-athlete from the University of Florida to win The Bowerman Award (2015) and won 7 NCAA championships. Before college, Dendy set Delaware state records in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump. GRANT HOLLOWAY Holloway is an Olympic silver medalist and World Championship gold medalist in the 110m Hurdles. He set a world record in the 60m Hurdles in 2021. While competing for the University of Florida, he earned 8 NCAA titles between the two events and was a 2x Bowerman Award finalist. Holloway is from Chesapeake, VA. FAQsAre there minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes, this camp is reserved for athletes in grades 9-12. Will the camp be active practice sessions or just lecture? The camp will be a mix of both. All attendees will learn about the events from the staff members, but will also go through a series of drills and practice sessions during the camp. Can I participate in more than one event group? Yes! An athlete can register for one event group or specific discipline in the morning and another event group in the afternoon. What should I bring? Athletic wear, running shoes, spikes (however, no spikes will be allowed in the shoes), a refillable water bottle. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? The Armory is located on Fort Washington Ave. between 168th & 169th Streets, one block west of Broadway. It is accessible off the West Side Highway or the FDR. The Armory is also in close proximity to public transportation. Below is a listing of the different ways to access the Armory. Subway: The facility is one block west of the 168th Street stop off the IRT #1, A & C trains. Bus: The M4 stops directly in front of our building on Fort Washington Avenue. M100, Bx7, M5 and M3 have stops one block west of the Armory on Broadway & 168th Street How can I contact the organizer with any questions? The Armory Foundation oversees the premier indoor track and field center in America and hosts over 100 track meets annually with the goal of serving youth by promoting fitness, a love of sport and the pursuit of individual excellence. Additionally, it maintains the National Track and Field Hall of Fame, offers a variety of community support programs, and operates the largest after school activities center in New York City. The Armory College Prep High School Program provides college prep and academic counseling services to athletes who train on The Armory Track from underserved New York City neighborhoods. The Armory College Prep Middle School Program offers academic support, an exciting robotics program as well as high school application guidance to local middle school students.
