Explore the basics of color theory and build your color wheel samples on cotton fabric as we would use for quilt piecing.
Under the expert guidance of Gina Levesque, we will explore the basic principles of color theory by starting with the 3 primary colors and building a color wheel of 12 colors. At each level of understanding, participants will dye cotton fabric to demonstrate various color harmonies. Each participant will receive a binder with handouts/page protectors (for samples), a color wheel, disposable pipettes, lidded cups for dyes, one flat paintbrush, 5 fat-eighths of Kona cotton and all consumables used in class. This is a full day class. Participation will be limited to 15.
