Come celebrate the release of Breaking Down Vonnegut with the karass. Julia Whitehead, Author, and CEO of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, will be signing copies and answering questions about her new book, Breaking Down Vonnegut from 6:00-7:00 PM at the Vonnegut Museum. From 7:00-8:00 PM join us for a hybrid book discussion and Q&A with the authors of the Breaking Down series published by Jossey-Bass a division of John Wiley and Sons. You will hear from authors Julia Whitehead, author of Breaking Down Vonnegut; Patricia Grisafi, author of Breaking Down Plath; and Helen M. Turner, author of Breaking Down Fitzgerald. *Masks are required for the in-person section of the event* Meet the Authors Patricia Grisafi, PHD, is a freelance writer, editor, and educator based in New York City. Aside from teaching Plath’s work, she is the author of numerous essays on Plath and has presented research at academic conferences such as the 75th Annual Sylvia Plath Symposium. She is the author of Breaking Down Plath (Jossey-Bass), a literary companion on Sylvia Plath for middle and high school students. Helen M. Turner has a PhD from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. She has taught in a variety of schools and universities in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Sweden. She is also an active researcher with particular interests in American and South African literature. She has published on Richard Yates, Tom Wolfe, and Archibald MacLeish. She is the author of Breaking Down Fitzgerald (Jossey-Bass), a literary companion on F. Scott Fitzgerald for middle and high school students. Julia Whitehead, an award-winning entrepreneur, is the founder and CEO of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library in Indianapolis and owner of the communications consulting firm Random Harvest Group. Whitehead is a recognized expert and lecturer on the life and works of Kurt Vonnegut. She is the author of Breaking Down Vonnegut (Jossey-Bass), a literary companion on Kurt Vonnegut for middle and high school students. The Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library is a public-benefit, nonprofit organization championing the literary, artistic and cultural contributions of the late writer, artist and Indianapolis native Kurt Vonnegut. The library seeks to engage people in the written word — especially their own.
