Join us for a special #LastThursdays film screen of the cult 1968 lucha libre film, “La Mujer Murciélago” (The Bat Woman) at the Museum! Join us for a special #LastThursdays film screen of René Cardona’s 1968 lucha libre film, “La Mujer Murciélago” (The Bat Woman) on the big screen in our “Lucha Libre: Stories from the Ring” gallery. This vintage cult favorite is a mix of adventure, sex-appeal, and horror as La Mujer Murciélago is called to investigate a whacked out scientist that is capturing wrestlers and using their spinal fluid to create a Gill Man. To commence the screening, Norma Chairez-Hartell, EPMH’s new curator will talk about the exhibit she created- Lucha Libre: Stories from the Ring exhibition closing March 12, 2022. Come celebrate the last few weeks of this colorful and exciting exhibition while enjoying a free moive (and popcorn)! … This #LastThursdays is sponsored by Deadbeach Brewery.
