Long time Silicon Valley technology and startup veteran, Paul O’Brien works in Venture Capital Economic Development, serving the investment and venture capital economies directly, through thought leadership, consulting, and startup development. He’s the founder of MediaTech Ventures, a founder and managing director of Funded House, and Director in Founder Institute. Our highlighted program this month is Center of Excellence for Community Health and Economic Resiliency Research (CHERR). Due to the rise in castastrophic environmental and population health events occuring around the world and the heavy effect it's had on the well-being and quality of life for Texans, CHERR's work on fostering knowledge and skills needed to help communities prepare, adapt, and recover from public health emergencies and natural disasters has never been more important.
