Come join us for our next Mantra Meditation Come join us for our next MANTRA MEDITATION facilitated by Flowing River! :: DESCRIPTION OF EVENT ::We will be gathering together to share authentic teachings from the East in the form of the shabad. “Sha” means ego “bad” means to cut, therefore we use the shabad to cut the ego before it can get started. This allows us rise above the countless stories, ideas, and concepts that tie our spirit down from accessing our highest selves. A self that is liberated, whole, complete, and free. The great thing about mantra meditation is that the technique is so simple and easy that anyone can do it, young, old, and everyone in between. No prior experience is necessary. And within a few minutes of the practice you will feel more at ease, peace, and experience a sense of oneness that you may have never felt before. We will start with a short discourse, explanation of the practice, and then begin the recitation of the shabad (mantra). The practice will last roughly 30 minutes before transitioning into an internal silent meditation while receiving a sound healing. We will close with an integration circle and brief question and answer section. The teachings and practices you learn will change not only your spiritual life but also your day to day life. The way you think, reflect, and how you respond to daily stressors such as frustration, anxiety, and worry. These teachings are for ALL irrespective of your spiritual disposition and background. Practice in a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming space. :: WHAT TO BRING :: Meditation Cushion or Pillow (If you don't have one, don’t worry, we can provide one for you.) Head covering (To practice mantra meditation in the authentic and traditional way. Not required for participation.) Loose and comfortable clothing (We will be sitting for at least 30 minutes.) Before Mantra Meditation traditionally the Gurus would bathe in the river, so a modern spin on that is to take a shower. If you can and wish to practice in the authentic way we encourage you take a shower before arrival to the event. :: COST :: * This event is FREE - completely donation based! Pay what feels right to you even if it’s nothing. Donations are appreciated, but not required by any means. All donations go towards helping pay for this event and making future events like these free for others. (Venmo & Paypal accepted).
