Description

SALEM, MA — Along with the chips, dip, salsa, snacks and squares, Salem officials are hoping residents keep a COVID-19 test handy if they are meeting in groups to watch the big game this weekend. The city is making free rapid at-home tests available to residents who plan on gathering for Super Bowl house parties or at other crowded indoor spaces. Up to two test packs per household — two tests per pack — will be available with proof of residency. Tests can be picked up until 7 p.m. on Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday at the Health Department office on the third floor at 98 Washington Street. All residents can request rapid tests to be mailed from the federal government here. Those with health insurance can also seek reimbursement for purchased tests at reail locations through their insurance provider.
