WAUWATOSA, WI — A GoFundMe was started in support of a George Webb employee who was shot at the Wauwatosa location on Jan. 30. Police said a worker was shot by customers arguing about service. The fundraiser was started by Anne Marie, the GoFundMe page says. Marie wrote in the fundraiser she is a friend of the victim. "He is able to walk unassisted now, which has been a big deal. His positive attitude is truly inspiring," Marie posted to the fundraiser on Tuesday. "He said more than once tonight in his hoarse whisper, 'I'm alive' with the best smile he could muster." She says he is a hard worker, doing what he can to support a 3-year-old son, but he doesn't have insurance, making the road to recovery expensive. Police said a 26-year-old restaurant worker was shot in the face. According to a criminal complaint, a group of women was asked to leave after an argument about food service, but they returned with a gun. Two women, Bryanna Johnson and Breanta Johnson, have been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the shooting, according to online court records and criminal complaints. You can view the fundraiser online at GoFundMe's website. Editors note: GoFundMe is a Patch promotional partner.
