Rotary International (RI) is rated one of the best (most effective and trusted) charities in the world as reported by charitynavigator.org and Consumer Reports. RI has a stringent approach to charitable contributions that is imprinted and embedded onto all clubs. The Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary Club is committed to raising money for fighting food insecurity in our area, supporting education in area schools as well as scholarships, and International outreach projects. We do this through various fundraisers through our charitable foundation, in which the funds are predetermined for distribution. So what if a worthy need comes up that isn’t on the predetermined list, (and this happens several times a year)? This event is to raise money to place in our foundation’s unrestricted reserves, so we can meet qualified charitable local organizations requests for emergency funding. Vocalist Caroline Fourmy, sax/clarinet player Jim Spake, bass player John McClure, guitarist Robert Mache, and drummer James Cunningham bring you a buffet of New Orleans traditional jazz, R&B, and Memphis rock-n-roll to wrap you in nostalgic moonbeams and get your booty shaking. This Memphis and New Orleans band is a Mardi Gras mischief you won't want to miss.
