Description

The Higher Education Character Convening is a two-day conference full of inspiration and learning about character education. The Higher Education Character Convening is presented by Samford University's Orlean Beeson School of Education, The Hope Institute, The Kern Family Foundation and Character.org. This two-day conference will be held on Thursday, May 12 from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Friday, May 13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Featured speakers will include Dr. Marvin Berkowitz, Dr. Arthur Schwartz and Dr. David Walker. This year's theme will be Character Development & Practical Wisdom and will include keynote addresses, breakout sessions, problems of practice, character-based research and university planning. Participants will choose from a varied selection of breakout sessions to attend. A networking session will provide the opportunity for attendees to connect with other school leaders pursuing similar goals.
