Elmhurst Woman Charged With Domestic Battery

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst woman was arrested earlier this week in connection with an incident in which she attacked a household member who was trying to record her actions, police said. Latrice N. Boykins, 21, was arrested on two counts of domestic battery. The incident happened about 3 a.m. Feb. 2 at a house in the 200 block of East First Street, police said. The man picked up Boykins at Elmhurst Hospital, and they got into an argument after returning home, according to a police report. Police said the man tried to record her actions with his phone, prompting Boykins to attempt to grab the device, police said. She then grabbed the man's arm and scratched his right wrist, the report said. Because of a health issue, she was taken to the hospital. She was arrested Monday and taken to the DuPage County Jail, police said.
