Press release from the City of Champaign: February 9, 2022 Shortly after 7:13 a.m. this morning, while responding to an emergency at 302 E. John St., Champaign Fire Department's Ladder 161 was involved in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Neil and Green streets. A firefighter on Ladder 161 and the occupant of the second vehicle were both treated on scene and transported to a local hospital with apparent minor injuries.
