Press release from Akron Public Schools: 02/10/2022 The Akron NAACP is pleased to present two opportunities for all Summit County high school students: the local ACT-SO program (a nationally acclaimed academic and talent competition) and the Sojourner Truth Legacy Showcase (new for middle school and high school students). The registration deadline has been extended for both programs. Both events are great opportunities for the talented students of APS. The Akron ACT-SO program has produced four national champions.
