Beagle looking for a good home

I'm looking to rehome my beagle. He's around 4 years old. He is neutered and had shots when we got him just over a year ago. He's just not receiving the love he deserves here. I believe he was abused because he flinches at everything. When faced with new people he will just try to get away. He is very wary of men but with time will warm up to them. He is a very loving & playful dog once he opens up. You just have to give him a little time. He's fine with kids as long as they understand what he probably went through (which my 4 year old did not). He hasn't lived with other dogs but whenever he's been around other dogs all he's wanted to do is just sniff them. Same with cats. I hope to get a $50 rehome fee. He's a good dog and I want to find him a good home.
