Pettit Staffing is hiring for Swing shift, Equipment Operators. These are temporary to hire openings and you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the equipment machinery. Hours: swing shift, 4:30pm-1:00am+; may work weekends Pay: $17.00/hr – Overtime at $25.50/hr Job duties. Monitor and operate one or more of the following pieces of equipment: tumbler, injector, bowl chopper, triangle packager, Dixie/6-pack, tray sealer, impingement/flattener, onpack, grinder, mixer, cartoner, band saw, T-sizer, production pallet jack . You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a high energy level and attention to detail. Setup, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and preventative maintenance on equipment machinery. Reads scales and performs arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately. Cleans and rinses equipment according to specified procedures Completes all required daily documentation and reporting for equipment, supplies, and products Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards by all in work area. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience on production processing lines and familiarity with production equipment. Ability to read, interpret and follow instructions and labels. Physical Demands: * Regularly required to stand and walk Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms Must be capable of talk, hear, taste and smell. Occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
