Additional Desired Skills: • Able to schedule and prioritize work flow • Must have high know-how of ALL property maintenance issues • Basic knowledge of plumbing • Basic knowledge of electrical • Knowledge of appliances a plus • Sheetrock installs and repair knowledge • Able to work with little supervision at times • Self-starter • Motivated • Honest • Able to install windows and doors is a plus • Remodel experience (Bathrooms and kitchens) a plus • Ability to work fast and efficiently • Detail oriented Work hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with some after hours; weekend work required. Pay scale depends on experience. Must have own vehicle with current valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance. Must have basic tools of the trade. Property maintenance is essential to every apartment community, and it is the maintenance team that carries out this vital role. Charged with preparing vacant apartments for new residents and performing routine and emergency maintenance of all kinds, Maintenance Technicians must have a working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service; the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action; superior customer service skills; and great attention to detail. Two or more years of hands-on general maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, and appliances preferred; experience in painting a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade school or industry designation a plus. Valid driver's license, some weekend availability, and rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies required.
