**Must have a CDL** Assures safe and timely transportation for community residents. Responsible for the safety of each Resident while driving/riding a van/bus. Assists Residents with loading and unloading. Assures all wheelchairs are locked down. Assures all Residents are properly seat belted. Inspects bus/van each morning and night by checking tires, gasoline, etc. If CDL is required, must follow CDL inspection requirements. Maintains bus/van toll tags, license, and inspection and notifies Executive Director of due dates. Reports any incident immediately to the Executive Director or Director of Nursing. Maintains cleanliness of bus/van (interior and exterior). Must be on time for appointments. obey all road signs including speed limits. maintain gas cards in a responsible manner. Must return keys, gas card, and cell phone to the facility each day. Has completed the Community Driver Competency Checklist. Has reviewed the Bus/Van Safety Guidelines. Performs other tasks/duties as assigned. Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately. Must be available for evening and weekend trips. Must maintain current, valid driver’s license and informs supervisor of any accidents, traffic violations, and/or infractions that can impact driving record. Must be dependable and able to follow attendance records and work schedules. Must be able to work cooperatively with management and assist coworkers when the situation requires. Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations. Position Requirements: One year of experience in working with older adults is preferred. Valid Drivers license Adequate and clear English speaking and writing ability, able to communicate effectively. Current CPR/First Aid certification.
