Wanted: Front Desk and either Housekeeping or Maintenance Hotel Staff – housing assistance available The Waves is a locally owned and family operated 60 unit ocean front hotel in downtown Cannon Beach. We are seeking a ‘working couple’ (married, dating, friends, cousins, acquaintances…doesn’t matter to us) we are trying to fill two positions. Front desk and a role in either our housekeeping or maintenance teams. Qualified candidates would have the opportunity to participate in our workforce housing program which provides a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment for lease at below market rent. This is not ‘free housing’ but it is subsidized as a condition of employment. To allow this investment to ‘pencil out’ both positions need to be filled. Salary for each position ranges from $16 - $20 per hour DOE; Paid Time Off; Medical Insurance; matching savings program and employee housing benefit. Position responsibilities: Front Desk – assist with making reservations, guest registration and customer service. Positive attitude and communication skills are a must. Housekeeping – various roles from cleaning rooms; assisting with bed making or laundry, quality control and attention to detail. Maintenance – light plumbing, electrical and carpentry, a knack for fixing and maintaining, jack or jill of all trades, landscaping and facility cleaning.
