Pacific Motorsports, Portland’s Premier Independent BMW and MINI Shop, has an IMMEDIATE need for a full-time shop Lot Porter/Shop Helper/Janitor. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday. No weekend work required. This is an Entry Level position, and involves LOTS OF CLEANING, ORGANIZING, ROUTINE MAINTENANCE TASKS. We are looking for someone LONG TERM. While not required, preference will be given to any candidates who have prior wheel/tire mounting/balancing experience. This is a locally-owned business with a warm supportive atmosphere open Monday-Friday and offering competitive pay, health benefits (medical, vision) and paid vacation and holidays. A 401(k) option is available and uniforms are provided. We specialize exclusively in BMW and MINI automobiles, and have been providing A Higher Standard of Service to the community since 1996. We have high standards and expect the same from you. Duties include, but are not limited to: -Various shop tasks; keep shop/office clean, stock technician benches, empty oil/coolant drains and trash/recycling, light shop equipment/tool maintenance, etc. -Hand wash/vacuum/clean client cars and prepare them for delivery -Shuttle clients to/from their destination -Assist technicians (lift/hold/etc.) when needed -Pickup parts from various locations when needed Candidate requirements: -Valid driver's license with excellent driving record -Experienced in driving a manual transmission -Be honest, DETAILED and meticulous -Take pride in your work -Possess a kind friendly attitude, excellent customer service, and solid time-management skills -Work well both independently and as a team with co-workers -Motivated self-starter, able to perform duties with minimal supervision -Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, and clients --Must be able to lift 50lbs -Drug free -Previous tire/wheel mounting/balancing experience/expertise is preferred, but not required, –Computer literacy (basic Office programs, internet and email) preferred, but not required.
