Motorcyclist Crashes On Northern State Parkway, Flown To Hospital

WOODBURY, NY — Police and firefighters were called to a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon that backed up traffic for miles on the Northern State Parkway. The Syosset and Jericho Volunteer Fire Departments was called to the crash near the Seaford-Oyster Bay expressway around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, along with Nassau County and state police, officials told Patch. A helicopter landed on the parkway to airlift the injured motorcyclist to Nassau University Medical Center. The Parkway was closed for about 30 minutes while crews worked the wreck.
