4 Week Knitting Class. You will learn the long tail cast on, knitting in the round with both circular needles and double pointed needles 4-Week Hat Knitting Class Class Costs:$68 class fee - payable by cash or check to Red Rock Property Development $30 materials fee - payable by cash or check to Melissa Beyer Pre-Requisites:Class participants must have basic knitting ability and be comfortable working knit and purl stitches. Participants must be fully vaccinated, and masks are recommended Class Description: This is a 4-week winter hat knitting class. The hat will start with ribbing, transition to stockinette, and finish with crown decreases. The hat can be knit as a beanie or with a bit of slouch. Participants will learn the long tail cast on as well as knitting in the round with both circular needles and double pointed needles. Each section of the hat will be started during class time. Students are expected to continue knitting at home to a designated stopping point in preparation for the following week of class. Supplies: · Materials fee includes circular needles, double pointed needles, and project yarn. · Also bring your straight needles and leftover yarn from beginner class! · Scissors · Knitting ruler (optional, but helpful) o Usually ~6” long, may have needle sizing holes and/or gauge measuring guide
