Join Kim every other Wednesday and learn the art of Embroidery and slow stitching. Join Kim @ BCAW every other Wednesday evening from 6-8 for Open Stitch night! Each class, Kim will have a theme, technique, or stitching style she will teach. Because this is a recurring class, you are welcome and encouraged to work on a larger project and keep bringing it back each class to add to. Just looking for some social interactions while being creative? Think of this class like a quilting bee of sorts! You are more than welcome to just bring your own hand stitching projects, even if you don't need any instruction, and just want to stitch with others. This ongoing class will cover the following: Basic embroidery stitchesMore advanced embroidery stitchesLettering and filler stitchesDecorative stitching and edge stitching"Ditch the hoop" - ways to display & design embroidery projects without the hoopBoro style / Visible mending stitching (yes, bring your clothes that need mending)!The art of Slow stitching - working on long term projectsStitching a pre-drawn patternFree hand embroidery (more creative/ artistic)Mixed media - combining painting, scrap fabric, and 3-D objects with stitches.1 hoop, needles, embroidery floss, solid fabric, fabric scraps, paint, and adornments, etc. all provided at each class. Extra hoops, needles, fabric, etc. will be available for purchase at some classes. Each class is 2 hours long, from 6-8pm every other Wednesday. This is an indoor class, masks are mandatory. I agree to terms in waiver - By purchasing ticket, you are agreeing to terms in waiver. Please contact us if you would still like to sign up for this class, but have issue with any part of waiver.
