This inter-active panel discussion is sponsored by the Book Club llc, Juneteenth Virginia, and Portsmouth Historical Society. The theme of this African American History Month program is, "The Road to Juneteenth 2022: National Day of Black Independence”. Panelist for the program are three local keepers of history - Sheri Bailey, President of Juneteenth Virginia, Diana Chappell, Activist/Photographer, and Mae Breckenridge-Haywood, immediate past president of the Portsmouth African American Historical Society.
