Description

Join us on this meditative walk as we reflect on the bounty nature provides to us all. Lammas is the cross-quarter festival that marks the midway point between the summer solstice and the autumnal equinox. Lammas is the celebration of the first grain harvest, a time for gathering in and giving thanks for abundance. Join us on this meditative walk as we reflect on the bounty nature provides to us all. We will conclude our walk by celebrating this first harvest with homemade bread, fresh berries, and locally foraged hot, herbal tea. More information about forest bathing and our upcoming walks can be found here. 100% of your registration supports our Nature Nurtures Project that brings the healing power of nature to residents of nursing homes—free of charge. A mindful connection with the outdoors is crucial for cultivating a balanced, inspired, and fulfilled life. Let yourself be guided... For your body: Release stress, breathe fresh air, and get moving. For your mind: Settle your awareness on nature’s soothing atmosphere. For your spirit: Venture into the woods to gain inspiration from the living earth.Unplug from the demanding outside world and join us on an intentional and meditative walk through the Connecticut forests. We invite you to immerse yourself in the forest and experience a deep connection with the natural world on one of our restorative and meditative forest bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) walks.
